Moon Cycle Nutrition for Your Menstrual Cycle

Our female bodies are cyclical just like the changing moon and seasons. We have four different phases in our menstrual cycle: winter (menstruation/new moon), spring (follicular phase/waxing moon), summer (ovulation/full moon), autumn (luteal phase/waning moon), as well as different phases in the journey of womanhood: moonstruation, peri-moonpause, and moonpause. In this transmission, we will learn nutritional guidance to support our natural inner rhythm of changing hormones each month and throughout our lives. If you have PMS, cramping, food cravings, fatigue, acne, or feel like your cycle is a CURSE, this workshop will provide clarity to alleviate these symptoms and love your body as a temple, with food as the divine offering.


We will also learn how the menstrual cycle connects to the moon cycle and share a womb blessing ritual.


After each explanation of the menstrual phase and nutritional support by Allie, a yoga posture to support each menstrual phase will be guided by Leala.


Facilitator Bio:

Allie McFee is a Women’s Health Educator, Hormone Balancing Chef, Red Tent Facilitator, Tantrika and owner of the hormone health cooking blog: Modern Goddess Lifestyle. She helps women balance their hormones naturally through nutritious recipes, exquisite self-care rituals, and divine feminine empowerment in her online programs, cooking classes, retreats and 1:1 coaching. She is exquisitely in the process of birthing a cookbook on women’s hormone health. She also facilitates Womb Clearing practices to help women honor their “sacred no,” by creating boundaries, releasing emotional repression, and radically loving their bodies and sexuality. This class is open to men as well as women if this is a topic of interest to you!


Dress comfortably, bring a floor chair or floor pillow if you have a favorite one at home (optional), bring a water bottle if you'd like, and a notebook to take notes!


After this class ends, from 4:30-5:45pm, Leala will be teaching a Hot Yoga class ($22 drop-in), and you are welcome to stay! If so, make sure you wear your yoga clothes! And don't forget your mat and towel, otherwise you can rent them at Wynwood Yoga.
