Women Gather Across America
Hailed as the next wave in the women’s movement, Gather The Women has targeted eight U.S. cites for regional congresses the weekend of November 11-13, 2005. Last year 700 women’s groups from 40 countries set the stage for this current round of regional events.
Speakers leading workshops and creative playshops are expected to address the powerful transformational impact of “The Millionth Circle” as women everywhere learn to exercise their own brand of collaborative, compassionate power. Their mission? To take the human race where it knows it needs to be at this critical time in human history.
“The Millionth Circle depends upon a simple hypothesis,” says Dr. Jean Shinoda Bolen, whose latest book, Urgent Message from Mother: Gather the Women, Save the World, is recommended reading. “When a critical number of people change how they think and behave, the culture will change also, and a new era begins.” The heart of the book explores how women must be the primary source of world peace.
“If Jean Shinoda Bolen says ‘Gather the women,’ I’m there,” says Marianne Williamson, author of Return to Love and The Gift of Change. “Urgent Message from Mother is a call, reminding us who we are and what we’re capable of doing.”
