Cleaning for a Reason Helps Cancer Patients for Free
The Cleaning for a Reason Foundation is a nonprofit agency that offers free professional housecleaning and maid services to women currently undergoing treatment for any form of cancer. Since 2007, the Texas-based group has been connecting cancer patients in all 50 United States and in Canada with hundreds of bonded and insured services that offer free cleaning to qualified applicants.
Women seeking household cleaning help can sign up online, backed by a faxed note from their physician. Participating services can help two patients at a time with four monthly cleanings. Two to three dozen new agency partners are being added each month as word gets out and demand for the service grows.
