4th Generation Maya masseuse, artist, and healer, Amalia Ixmalé Forest is in Santa Fe, NM, from April 30 – June 2 bringing the hands-on tradition of her lineage of healers. Her great skills bring relief and renewal for the replenishment of your body and spirit.
Treat yourself to a healing massage to the sounds of ancient Maya music to energetically rebalance your entire being and profoundly soothe your emotions and spirit. Massages are done with Maya balms in the tradition of their healing ways. Women are invited to experience her amazing deep full body massage which will transport you to a serene realm of relaxation and regeneration. Both men and women can experience a stress-relieving head, neck, shoulder, and arm massage that will leave you soothed and relaxed.
Amalia also offers special rejuvenating facials that replenish your skin, relax your mind and body, and have you looking and feeling years younger. Her facials all use Mexican nopal for exfoliation and end with a specially compounded Honey-Rose facial cream and light massage. You have the choice of Maya chocolate mask, Maya clay mask, or avocado mask depending on the specific skin condition.
You can also experience Amalia’s craft design artistry before or after your treatment by shopping in the benefit Maya craft sale on site at the Red Wind Center of Santa Fe. Amalia began the ixmalé, Maya Textiles & Creations project, inviting Maya women to collaborate by incorporating traditional Maya weavings into contemporary designs. Her vision is to offer support to Maya women & their families through sales of these unique creations. Proceeds of this sale go directly to support the artisans.
Daughter of shaman and spiritual teacher, Ohki Forest, Amalia Ixmalé will be in Santa Fe only from April 30th to June 2nd, 2018. Come and shop for crafts!!
